Convert WinForm to WPF Metro Style

With the launch of Windows 8, everybody is moving to Metro Style application development. Even myself I have a couple of application for personal and office use. I want to convert these Windows Form (WinForm) applications to Metro Style.

Google Reader is retiring - alternative?

As a fan of Google Reader, it is my daily routine to open Google Reader to read my favorite news and articles. However, this morning I was shocked to see an announcement above saying that Google Reader will be retired on July 1st, 2013.

So I start to look around for alternative. I found a good one called Feedly. The interface is much better since it offers few type of view for the feed. Feedly is available on Firefox and Chrome due to the need of add-on installation.

 

The best part is that, right now Feedly is pulling the info directly from Google Reader and they promised seamless transition from Google Reader to Feedly.

SD Card Tear Down

Maybe many of us wondering how is a SD Card is constructed. (un)fortunately, I have a broken SD Card that I can tear down. Below are the pictures.. looks how amazingly thin the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) for this SD Card.

Lesson Learned: Battery Leak

Lesson Learned: Do not use low performance battery into high current drain devices. This what happen when I used low performance battery into my Nikon SB-600 Flash. Luckily I checked today because I want to test new rechargeable battery (eneloop XX). Go check your device now!
