Free Android Source Code for Battery Status/Widget

I'm distributing my Source Code for the Battery Status and Battery Widget that I have shared in the previous posts. You may visit Android Apps page to grab the Source Code. I'm releasing these Source Codes as below license:

Creative Commons License

I'll let you try to combine these separate codes to work as an application containing that can launch and also can work as widget. I'll be posting the full combined Source Code maybe after couple of days. In fact I'm running the combined code on my phone right now. Work like a charm!

If anybody manage to combine, feel free to comment below.

Happy Coding Android!

Storm Trooper, R2D2 guarding the Google Data Center?

With the launching of Street View, Google has captured some pictures inside their Data Center in Lenoir, North Carolina. Upon viewing the pictures, my eyes caught at the Storm Trooper and R2D2 in front of a row of server racks.

Take a closer look below:

Wide Angle Converter

Wide angle converter (0.5x) mounted on Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 compare to Nikon 18-55mm VR.

Conclusion:
Wide Angle Converter does not product as wide as the factor given. For example 0.5x does not convert 28mm to 14mm (28 times 0.5), but it produces somewhere in between 24mm to 18mm. However it is good enough for those who does not want to carry 2 separate lenses.

Shutdown Timer

Before I go to sleep, I want to share how you can make use of the shutdown command built-in the Windows. In my case, I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate.

First of all, click START, run 'cmd'.

Then you can type: shutdown /s /f /t xxx

If you want to abort: shutdown /a

Whereby the xxx will be time in seconds. If you want to know more details on the options, simply enter shutdown.

At least if you still have processes running such as Dropbox synchronization, you can go to sleep first and let the computer shutdown by itself afterwards.

Good night!

Watch Live Air Traffic Online

I found this cool website showing the live air traffic around the world. Once you click on the plane you can view even the details including altitude, speed, heading, destination, etc. For an aeronautical background person like me, I found it very cool watching this!
