Lesson Learned: Battery Leak


Lesson Learned: Do not use low performance battery into high current drain devices. This what happen when I used low performance battery into my Nikon SB-600 Flash. Luckily I checked today because I want to test new rechargeable battery (eneloop XX). Go check your device now!

Wide Angle Converter

Wide angle converter (0.5x) mounted on Tamron 28-75mm F2.8 compare to Nikon 18-55mm VR.

Conclusion:
Wide Angle Converter does not product as wide as the factor given. For example 0.5x does not convert 28mm to 14mm (28 times 0.5), but it produces somewhere in between 24mm to 18mm. However it is good enough for those who does not want to carry 2 separate lenses.

Shutter Count using Opanda IExif

You can use Opanda IExif to find out what is the shutter count of your DSLR.
* Unfortunately this only works for Nikon and very few models of Canon (20D). If you have more info please comment.

Shutter count is referring to how many times the mirror moves up and down during taking pictures. Thus, this number correspond to the life of the main component of a DSLR which is the mirror assembly. It is crucial to look at this number if you want to decide whether to send to service or you want to but an used DSLR camera body.
